Welcome to Women's Health and Economic Development Association (WHEDA-Nigeria), a non-governmental organisation, with the sole aim of improving the well-being of the people especially the less privileged and deprived women, youths and children in the rural areas. WHEDA-Nigeria operates with the philosophy that economic and health potentials of the people are interrelated and supportive. The economic development of an individual is a powerful determinant of his/her health, for when the health is poor, the economic potentials are jeopardized.  Consequently, we have adopted a two pronged strategy of combining socio-economic empowerment with health interventions to achieve maximum impact of improving the well being of the people.
